My Skincare Routine Favorites

When it comes to my body, I like to keep it simple and organic. I’ve found that when I’m being “extra” ( trying a million different things) it breaks me out. Sure, it’s fun to get out of your comfort zone by trying out new products, but your skin may hate it. After my phase of trying all skin care brands, I fell in love with a couple that I’ll be using forever. Funny enough, you can’t find them at the drugstore and they’re 100% organic. Sorry.

Cleanser

Dr. Bronner’s tea tree oil Castile soap is the holy grail! It’s that beautiful orange bottle in the picture below. I am NOT a dermatologist or a skin expert of any sort, but this has made my skin look flawless. Tea tree oil is known as a strong antibacterial and anti-fungal. It’s amazing for acne and inflated skin. I recommend you ask a doctor before purchasing the oil itself as it’s very strong. But this soap is glorious. I have not used my foundation or concealer for about two months. If I feel like wearing makeup, I literally just dab on some highlighter, slay my eye makeup and wear some lipstick.

Toner

For those of you asking, I do use a toner but it’s prescribed by my dermatologist. Before that, I used Apple Cider Vinegar or Witch Hazel. Please make sure that whatever you use is completely organic.

Moisturizer

Now the key to the glow, the secret to my melanin poppin’ is… Moringa Oil (see the picture above). According to Trees For Life (oh yes! I’m taking this oil seriously),  Moringa was originally grown in the Himalayas. It’s a common tree in Africa, Latin America and the Tropics. I’m from a tropical island, and my mother introduced me to this oil, which is now my best friend. Medical News Today said that it contains vitamins A,B and C. It also has potassium, iron, antioxidants and so much more. It’s an amazing nutrient that may even lower your blood sugar. Moringa also contains protein which protects skin cells from damage. Plus it hydrates and is detoxifying.

Moringa Oil is famous for:

  • Anti-aging
  • Hydration
  • Natural glow
  • Curing rashes and burns

Need I say more? No. The brand that I use is selling in Haiti and Florida. It’s AYITI NATIVES Co. This brand is natural, cruelty free, made in Haiti and protecting the planet by letting us recycle the bottles. This blog post is not sponsored, I just love their products so much. I’ll post a detailed blog just on their products soon.

Face masks

My favorite part! Face masks are perfect for an at home spa day. Lately, I’ve been using two masks: Organic Aztec Clay mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar, and Shea Moisture’s Clarifying Mud Mask.

Fresh face, ready for the day look.
